To help Merton School Sport Partnership (MSSP) better understand the effectiveness, accessibility, and inclusivity of our sporting programmes, schools are required to record participant data for all competitions, events, and clubs attended.

To support this process, we have created a School Sport Register template (available in the downloads section below). This document should be updated regularly for every event entered and club delivered.

Please note that this information will form part of your school’s School Games Mark evidence. Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records throughout the year will help ensure effective reporting and reduce the administrative burden at the end of the assessment period.

We have also developed an MSSP Event Entry Team Sheet to support your event registrations and record keeping. MSSP staff will require the information below upon arrival at events, so completing the team sheet in advance will help ensure a smooth and efficient registration process.

Collecting this data will enable MSSP to gain a greater understanding of equality, diversity, and inclusion across sporting opportunities available to young people throughout the London Borough of Merton.

Information Required for Pupils Attending Events

Please ensure the following information is available for all pupils attending on the day:

• Year group
• Gender (male/female ratio)
• Ethnicity
• SEND status
• Pupil Premium status
• Photo consent
