Staffing and Spectators – Important Information

To ensure the safety and wellbeing of all participants, spectators are not permitted to attend MSSP events. This measure is in place to support safeguarding requirements and create a secure environment for all children and young people.

Primary schools must notify parents/carers in advance when inviting pupils to participate in an MSSP event.

All accompanying staff are required to have been fully vetted and authorised by their school prior to attending.

For events taking place on school sites, the host school will require the following information in advance:

• Full name of each attending member of staff
• DBS certificate number
• School photo identification

Upon arrival, all attending staff must sign an MSSP Code of Conduct to confirm their commitment to upholding safeguarding procedures and supporting the welfare of all children and young people at MSSP events.
