Competitions

At the Merton School Sport Partnership, we are committed to providing a diverse, inclusive and progressive programme of competitions and events that gives every young person the opportunity to enjoy, participate in and succeed through sport and physical activity.

Our calendar is designed to meet the needs of all pupils, offering a range of opportunities from participation and personal challenge events through to development festivals and more competitive pathways for those looking to represent their school at borough, London and national levels. Alongside traditional inter-school competitions, we also provide targeted opportunities for less active pupils, SEND learners, young leaders and sports officials, ensuring that every child can find a meaningful way to engage.

Working in partnership with primary and secondary schools across the borough, local clubs and national governing bodies, we coordinate a comprehensive year-round competition calendar that supports participation, talent development, transition between key stages and lifelong enjoyment of sport. Together, we strive to create positive experiences that build confidence, foster teamwork and inspire all young people to achieve their personal best.

Our entry-restricted events will be available for booking from Monday 14th September 2026 at 5:00pm.

Please note: School PE Coordinators are welcome to view and enter our September and early October events now, allowing time to prepare teams and arrange transport where required.
