Y3/4 Tag Rugby Festival

31st March 2025

Starting the week off well with a very successful Tag Rugby festival (Yr 3/4) at Old Ruts Rugby Club. 7 schools taking part with 12 teams in total.

The beautiful day was able to host 6 different stations for the schools to rotate on including, Breakout Tag, Hare and Hounds, Endball, Gauntlet, Rob The Nest and Danger Mouse. With the help of 12 boys from Rutlish School to supply a helping hand to the staff of MSSP, the kids were able to complete the stations and rotate to each station smoothly.

During the end, to top it all off the schools: Bishop Gilpin CE, St Mary’s RC, Joseph Hood, Holy Trinity CE, Wimbledon Park, Poplar, Pelham were all able to take part in matches against each other to apply the learning into real game scenarios.

After the certificates were handed out, there was a congratulations to Bishop Gilpin CE who were awarded the Respect award, for expressing respect, admiration and consideration while competing in the sport.
