The West of Merton Primary swimming gala took place on Tuesday 25th of March 2025 at King’s College Wimbledon. Thanks to Jackie and all the staff at Kings for welcoming us!
9 Primary schools across the west of the borough competed and created a great atmosphere poolside! We would like to thank each swimmer who participated in this event. Thanks too to all the teachers for enabling your pupils to take part. Thank to Mr Oldridge to the 13 sports leaders from Raynes Park High School for assisting with lane timings and overall support for the swimmers.
In total there were 24 heat races leading to 6 finals as well as 4 fun freestyle relays. The races consisted of Year 5&6 girls and boys Backstroke, Breaststroke and Front Crawl races as well as 4 final freestyle relays. Each child who took part was sensible and respectful to the Kings Pool staff and safety rules.
