On Wednesday 1st March, we held the KS2 Dance Festival at Perseid Upper School. 9 schools took part in this event, each performing their routines with enthusiasm and pride. It was amazing to see so many young, confident children performing, in front of a fully packed audience.
Each dance troop choreographed their own routine and chose their own music, it was lovely to see the childrens’ personalities shine through what they had created. This also encouraged responsibility and leadership within the children and they displayed their commitment and dedication to learning their routine and representing their schools.
Thank you to Park Academy, Morden Primary School, St Mary’s RC, The Priory CE, Merton Park, The Sherwood, Hatfeild, Joseph Hood and Poplar for fostering such an inclusive and welcoming environment for the children to perform in whilst doing something they love!
The MSSP Team would also like to thank Perseid Upper School for hosting the Dance Festival on their site again this year. We are already looking forward to next year’s festival.
