Raynes Park Cluster Year 3/4 Dodgeball Festival 2021-22

24th June 2022

On Tuesday 21st June 2022 the Raynes Park Cluster Year 3/4 Dodgeball Festival took place at Raynes Park High School. 10 teams from 9 cluster schools took part in the event, and each team would play a series of 9 matches across the 5 dodgeball courts, with each match lasting 5 minutes in duration.

The matches began at a frenetic pace with dodgeballs flying in all directions, and it was clear to see that all the children had all spent significant time preparing for the event back at school, as players were attacking their opponents with pin point accurate shots below the waist, as well as displaying some excellent catching skills and team tactics to get their team mates who were out, back into the game.

It was fabulous to see all players from every school playing with a huge smile on their face, as well as displaying some superb sportsmanship and respect to their opponents when one of their team was momentarily struck out of the game. This was especially epitomised by Aragon Primary School, who received the most votes from the other competing schools to be awarded the Refspect winners for this event. Well done all!

A huge thank you to Raynes Park High School for the use of their fabulous facilities, and a special mention must also go to the Sports Leadership team who as always did a wonderful job in coordinating the matches and coaching the children through their matches.

Until next year……..
