On Monday 27th February, we held the Central Wimbledon Cluster Hockey Festival at Kings College Sports Ground. 8 teams from 5 schools took part in a mixture of 6 a-side Hockey matches as well as some fun, competitive skill-based games such as Treasure Hunt and Dominoes.
Skill stations and matches were umpired by Year 6 children from Hollymount who showed amazing leadership and organisational skills, also running their stations with great enthusiasm.
During the event, the teams displayed not only their competitive streak but excellent efforts of resilience and sportsmanship, with Wimbledon Park School being awarded with the Refspect Award.
Thank you to Bishop Gilpin, Holy Trinity, St. Mary’s, Wimbledon Park and Hollymount for creating such an encouraging and fun environment for the children to thrive in whilst playing Hockey.
MSSP would also like to extend a big thank you to Kings College School for granting us use of their wonderful facilities at Kingsway. We hope to be back for future events.
