Workshop Details
This workshop is designed to support staff in how to plan and deliver inclusive and engaging PE and Physical Activity sessions that are accessible and purposeful to all pupils, especially those with SEND and those who are Neurodiverse. Attending delegates will be given effective ways in how to adapt mainstream sporting activities to allow all children to achieve success, as well as be shown how to utilise SEND specific sports within their teaching to develop all of their pupils.
This practical PE Development workshop will also give attending delegates a fantastic opportunity to share best practice and learn from PE specialists covering aspects of Health and Safety, Risk Assessment and organisational aspects of teaching PE as guided by AfPE. Delegates will look practically at the STEP principle (Space / Time / Task / Equipment / People), the National Curriculum, Assessment for Learning and Differentiation, outlining Ofsted expectations.
