Well done to the 60 children who attended the Y5/6 Mitcham Town Football Festival today. It was very impressive to see such quality on show from all the schools who participated.
The 7 teams from 5 schools played each other once in a round robin style group stage. Despite the fact that no placings were being awarded and there was no trophy to play for, schools showed great determination during their matches. This was balanced very nicely with lots of respect and fair play which is always paramount at our events.
Congratulations to Liberty Primary who were crowned today’s Refspect winners. Cranmer, Haslemere, Bond and St. Mark’s should also be applauded for the high standard of Football that was played today.
A huge thank you must go to Canons Leisure Centre in Mitcham for stepping in at such short notice as hosts for today’s event!
