We’re so thankful for an incredible end to the week with our Inclusive Kurling and Sitting Volleyball Competitions hosted on Friday 17th November at the the All England Lawn Tennis Club Community Courts on Grand Drive.
31 teams across 2 sessions were in attendance with 232 children from year groups 3 4 5 and 6.
Thanks to all schools for facilitating their pupils to participate in what would be for some of them their first school sports event. We hope they had a good experience and this inspires them to keep active and involved in sports.
We’re grateful too for the wonderful sports leaders from Rultish, St John Fisher and Poplar. What a team they combined to be!
All 24 Leaders from across the 3 schools gave an outstanding contribution towards leading our SEND Kurling and Sitting Volleyball fixtures. They’re very much a credit to their schools.
Well done to our event winners for Kurling Hillcross and Poplar and for Volleyball Hillcross and Park Academy as well as our REFSPECT winners Joseph Hood, Poplar, Aragon and Hatfeild.
We’re excited to bring these events to children in the borough and cannot wait for the next inclusive events coming up this year.
