We regretfully announce that due to recent guidance from Public Health Merton on the 16/06/21, due to the current COVID-19 circumstances we have been asked to cancel the NQT Tennis Workshop on Thursday 24th June. We are obviously extremely disappointed with the news, but we will aim to run an extra NQT session early next academic year to make up for this session that we have cancelled.
Thank you for your understanding and apologies for any inconvenience caused by the cancellation of this workshop.
We are delighted to be able to offer the final NQT PE Development Session of the academic year as a physical workshop where attending teaching staff will be able to physically experience a range of different activities that will be on offer. Due to the continued physical distancing restrictions that are likely to still be in place on the day of the workshop as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic, we will be operating the session under COVID safe protocols. This will include all staff wanting to attend the session having a negative lateral flow test on arrival, as well as registering for our track and trace.
This not to be missed FREE 2.5hr workshop will be at the Raynes Park Tennis Centre (Grand Drive) and has been carefully designed to provide teaching staff with a wide range of practical content and ideas on how they can teach enjoyable and progressive PE lessons across the different year groups. This session willbe focussed around how tennis and fundamental movement skill (FMS) activities can be incorporated into both PE lessons, as well as other areas of the school day, and what the subsequent benefits of doing these types of activities can have on children. We will be joined by our in house tennis specialist, Emmanuel Smith, who will run the majority of the session.
