Workshop Details
This practical workshop has been designed to mirror the Merton PE EYFS Scheme of Work, which focuses on the core Fundamental Movement Skills (FMS) that all Nursery and Reception aged children should develop before progressing onto Key Stage 1. Delegates will learn an expansive range of progressive and engaging activities demonstrating how to develop a child’s competency in areas such as agility, balance, coordination and movement.
Other Information:
- The sessions will be active, please wear clothing and footwear suitable for gentle physical activity. Please inform us if you are unable to participate or have any specific requirements which would support you throughout the day.
- Please bring a water bottle and your own food for the day.
- Please be aware that attendance at this workshop is vital as part of your school’s Sports Mark Award criteria
- The activities will mostly be held in the tennis dome (inside) area.
The All England Lawn Tennis Club Community Sports Ground
The Community Sports Ground is located at 216 Grand Drive, Raynes Park, London, SW20 9NB
When approaching the facility, please drive slowly as the entrance is slightly obscured between residential houses; keep an eye out for the AELTC gates.
The Community Sports Ground is approximately a 15 minute walk from Raynes Park station. The 163 bus route runs between Morden Underground station (Northern Line) and Wimbledon Station (Overground, District Line, Thameslink & Tram) via Raynes Park Station (Overground).
Car parking is available. There is also a bicycle rack for those who wish to come on two wheels; please remember to bring your own lock.

By registering onto a Merton PE Workshop or training event using our online course booking page, you have confirmed that those registered will attend the training. If delegates do not attend, you may still be charged full price for the course if the place cannot be filled. In some circumstances we may refund bookings in the form of course credit; however this is at the discretion of Merton PE.
